Trauma-focused therapy can be powerful, and demanding for the therapist. Supervision helps you choose and pace interventions well, keep clients safe, and notice the impact the work has on you.
Working towards EMDR accreditation? Supervision towards EMDR practitioner accreditation needs to come from an EMDR Europe-accredited consultant. Rachel’s supervision supports your wider trauma-focused practice alongside that.
Rachel’s doctoral research at the University of Oxford focused on trauma and PTSD, and she has published research on PTSD and trauma, including therapy delivered by video.
Her training includes EMDR Parts 1 to 3 with Richman EMDR Training, EMDR 2.0 with Ad de Jongh and Suzy Matthijssen, and foundational training in cognitive processing therapy with Candice Monson. She has delivered trust-wide training on trauma-informed practice, and training for psychological professionals on working with PTSD and dissociation.
Rachel is also a company director of the UK Psychological Trauma Society, a not-for-profit membership organisation that promotes evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches to treatment and public policy. Read Rachel’s full profile.
